Cherry and Barry had just purchased their dream home in Whitianga. While the location was perfect, the kitchen and joinery felt tired and lacked the character they were used to in their Auckland home. They wanted to elevate the property with timeless detailing, layered texture and a sense of considered design.
From the outset, the brief was clear: transform a simple, flat-fronted kitchen into a shaker-style space with depth and personality — while embracing a relaxed coastal feel.
Cherry’s love for colour and detail became a defining feature of the project. Through carefully selected tiles, hardware and finishes, we were able to introduce subtle richness and visual interest without overwhelming the space.
