A Light-Filled, Character-Respecting Family Renovation
This Mount Eden villa transformation was about balance — honouring heritage while creating a kitchen designed for modern family life. Lauren approached us after seeing another villa renovation we had completed. Her own kitchen was small, dark and no longer suited her growing family.
With an initial concept and clear stylistic direction, Lauren brought strong ideas to the table. Our role was to refine, technically resolve and bring those ideas to life — ensuring every detail worked both visually and practically. The final result is a calm, cohesive environment that feels both timeless and distinctly personal.
A Cohesive Transformation Across Multiple Spaces
This project extended beyond the kitchen to include dining seating, laundry and study nooks — allowing us to create flow and continuity throughout the home.
Soft white cabinetry is paired with warm timber accents to introduce depth and texture. Fluted detailing on the island adds subtle movement, while curved shelving softens transitions between zones. Integrated lighting enhances the atmosphere and highlights material finishes.
The generous island now anchors the home — a place for gathering, homework, entertaining and everyday life.
